First, to all of those who responded to our survey, we’d like to say, “Thank you!” We’ve poured through all of your responses, and we take your comments and suggestions very seriously. We’re going to do our best to follow up on those ideas that we feel make the most sense for the site. We’re not interested in replicating what’s already available on other sites, and there’s only so much that a site run by volunteers can do. However, you did give us a lot of excellent ideas for features and directions to take the site moving forward. One of them, is our spiffy new Events Calendar.
Its permanent home is under the “Resources” tab at the top of the page. The calendar will only list educational and social opportunities. We’re going to do our best to keep it populated with seminars, conferences, symposiums, web presentations, and professional meetups. So, if you happen to spy something interesting out there in the world (no matter which country it’s in), or you’re putting something together yourself (even if it’s just a gathering for drinks and conversations), then let us know. Hopefully, it will help you keep track of what’s going on in your local and global audio community.
