Recording Voices for Fantastic Mr. Fox

A fellow sound editor heard Jason Schwartzman on the radio this morning describe the unorthodox voice recording in Wes Anderson’s “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”. I poked around a bit to see if anyone else was talking about how they captured the voices for the animated film and Yahoo didn’t disappoint. Enjoy the following clip and go see the film, it’s a lot of fun!

  3. What indoor mic was that they where using? Anybody know. Looks like an Oktava or I maybe totally wrong.
