The Recordist Releases "Flying Insects 2" SFX Library

November 11, 2010 by Miguel Isaza

Frank Bry has released Flying Insects 2 SoundBox HD, the second package of bug recordings, including 297.4MB of material recorded at 96kHz/24-Bit.

The bugs are back! Introducing Flying Insects 2 SoundBox HD. This all new collection has a ton of crazy sounds from live insects recorded at 24-Bit 96K over the last few months.

This is the 2nd in a series of what I call “bugs gone wild” sound libraries. Note: the only foley in the collection is the sound of me trying to shake the bug off a stick after it flew into a spider web and got trapped. Other than that, all 100% live bug!

Cast: Wasp, Hornet, Honey Bee, Bumble Bee, Deer Fly, House Fly, Unknown Mini-Fly, Stink Bug.
Recording Gear: Sound Devices 702, Sanken CSS-5, Sennheiser MKH-416, Audio Technica AT-835ST, Sony PCM-D1.ç
Price: ¢35
