Shaun Farley has announced the October’s sound design challenge. This time the challenge is without picture, and the prize is a pack of Drag Race recordings.
Well, another month is gone, and it’s time for the next challenge. This month’s challenge is all about getting back to the roots of our interest in sound design…making noise. I’m going to give you three sounds. You’re going to pick one of them, and turn it into five new ones. Of course, I’m going to create some complications as well.
There’s a zip file to download with three audio effects in them. Your task is to choose one of them, whichever one you prefer, and to turn it into five new sounds using only that sound (no layering in other sounds). The catch is you can only use up to four processes for each new sound, and on the fifth sound you may only use EQ (but still up to four times). I realize this probably sounds a little confusing so I’m going to try to clarify things a bit.
