Whoa.
Chuck Russom says
Wow, that’s cool!
Tom@fullsail says
That was amazing! I wish there was simple way for me to recreate that effect. Hmmmm
Tim Walston says
Hmmm… Is this real? It sounds too good to be true to me. On the other hand, if this effect is really created by the acoustic properties of this well, then wouldn’t you think the effect could be replicated/synthesized by a convolution reverb or acoustic modeling? If you could change the delay time and dimensions of the virtual well… think of the possibilities!!
Charles Maynes says
I have a strong feeling that is is real- I think it might be a deep well that is dry, but that the bore is not vertical. Amazing stuff though…. Stuart did find it though- I just suggested to Miguel he post it….
Haydn Payne says
Im scratching my head trying to work out whats happening here, sounds amazing whatever is causing this
Jim Stout says
Sweet! That sounds amazing!!
Mike Niederquell says
Sounds legit. I’ve recorded some soccer balls being thrown against a wall in a giant sewage drain. The effect was very similar.

Mike Gilbert says
A very similar effect happens in the Super-dome when you hit a snare drum or make a loud sound in the center of the dome on the ground floor.
Austin Krier says
I wonder who they send down to collect the rocks? Intern?
Matt Piersall says
aight, who is going to package up and sell (“Extreme Objects falling inside a dry well”?)
I’d totally be in! Unfortunately its been too wet around Austin, lately or I’d do this myself.
