Once year ago I decided to start this adventure called Designing Sound. You can see the archives starting from 2007, but that’s because Designing Sound was merged with Filmsound Daily a few months ago.
I started with a simple idea of a site where I can share info about sound design, and now, I see the amount of content generated by the site and the lot of time I spent on it and I say WOW! I can’t believe it! I’ve enjoyed this year so much. I’ve meet a lot of really amazing people, I’ve learned a lot and I’ve accomplished lots of things here that I take pride. Is really exciting for me when I get a good feedback about the blog, or I see I helped someone with something. I love doing this.
The BIG THANKS go to YOU, the faithful reader, and to all the people who has supported us. You’re the power unit of this site. Special thanks to Jake (admin of the site with me), all the sound designers who have participated in the specials, all the interviewees and guests that took time of their busy schedules to answer questions for the community, to all those good friends on Twitter and Facebook, those who send us suggestions by mail and try to help us to improve the site each day. Thanks to everyone for the amazing support! We’re very excited about this first anniversary of Designing Sound and we know there are a lot of more things to do, so we hope to continue making this adventure as fun as posible.
