Have you try LCT-440 in your field recordings? I notice it differ not much from LCT 540 – no pad, no cutoff and 7 dBA self noise, but technology is the same. Or i’m wrong?

Never seen mics similar to Rode NT1 (especially in self noise question) in 100-1k$ range. Will be interesting to know how other LCT mics resist to outside trials = high humidity and temprature drops (above zero degree i mean).
