I don’t disagree with those at all, Charles. I fully embrace them, and the first certainly feeds into that “just a little more” mentality. The second is a bit tangential, unless you’re referring to a failure to recognize when one has put in enough effort. I’ve failed at that many times.

that being said, I offer two thoughts-

1- Art is never “done”

2- No one ever expanded their art from success.

I expect people will disagree with that, but in being a sound artist and musician for over 40 years, Those are truisms to me.

I found shifting from freelance to a full-time gig (with freelance on the side) helped give context to the additional work I take on beyond the ‘usual’ work week whether that’s taking on new projects or going further than required on current ones!
