A couple of major advantages are that you can work on logic without any external hardware. Also you can bounce BWAV files locked to smpte offline (much faster than real time). Video scrubs alongside your audio, again all in the same screen no external hardware needed and the automation is excellent.

I was the chief engineer for a company that had 5 TDM based rooms and I was in room #6 ” the LOGIC room”. We used my system for all kinds of post processing. It was always faster it seamed, and bouncing off line material + DSP was greatly needed as we started into our crunch.

The issues are mostly the same edit tools, fades, and automation X-ing over to another system. I’m currently still using Logic as well as Nuendo.

They’re both great programs, easily understandable why they’re professional, but what not many people factor into it that I do, is that Logic can just be more fun to use, which keeps making me open it via my dock instead of Pro Tools right next to it.

I prefer it to Pro Tools for sound design(though I use both) Very intuitive program!

I think is cheaper and easier to use than Protools. For us was excellent. We make tv advertisement and documentary Films. Logic Pro 9 never disapointed us.
