I am grateful for all you do to teach your magic. To anyone who hasn’t done so I recommend Ric’s book The Sound Effects Bible! I just finished it and it answered a lot of my questions and got me thinking about the type of sounds I want to record and how to capture those sounds. I look forward to Ric’s new books when they are released.

Thank you very much for this great article. As a newbie toying with my zoom h4n, I now know have a better idea of how to usi and what accessories to buy next.

Do you mind writing a piece on how to manage (tag, keywords, descriptions, organize) all the recorded sounds?
Do you say a few words on the mic at the begining of all recordings? (date, place, subject)

Again. Thank you.
