The quote for me is here just to remember us that sound designers are not just technicians. Every sound designer is an artist, who make creative and crucial decisions all the time.

It’s not simply “do the right thing”. It’s about remember the importance of a sound designer decision in each moment on the film. You can make a right sound but the moment is not the best for that sound, or you can put a sound in a great moment but it’s not the right sound, thus ruining your chance of making a good job.

Well, not a very profund quote in a philosophical way, but a very importance quote to remember what a sound designer has to think about.
