Nice interview, although it feels like he’s holding back a lot of information about sound sources. I don’t understand the multiband compressor either. How does that make the sound more ‘impressive’?

“try make it sound interesting and huge without having to be played at a very loud level to impress. I do that by compressing with a multiband compressor”

How exactly does he do this?
