Interesting. Whoosh is the sound created by such a rush. I think, whoosh is important in sound design, it makes things more realistic when applied to a radio drama, video games, etc.

Also...on the game audio runtime side there is now a plug-in for Audiokinetic's Wwise called Sound Seed Air - Whoosh which is meant to replace samples with a generative equivalent.

"The Woosh plug-in generates the sounds made as an object passes through the air, including close combat swooshes, bullet fly-byes, and other motion sounds."

So many ways to whoosh!
