I appreciate Ben Burtt’s enthusiasm for sound design. Every time I hear him speak it reminds me why I began editing sound. I like the idea of sound “giving life” to a film and how it is a necessary element to the overall narrative. It is interesting how the influence of sound has elevated over the past 30 years as technology has become more advanced.
