by Miguel Isaza

Just download a video (trailer, animation, gameplay) in a good quality, delete all the sound there and start making your own. When you’re showing your reel, do not forget to clarify that you have modified the original material and only use it for demonstration purposes.
Nick Maxwell has several sound design tutorials on Ableton Live, mostly focused on music sound design, but he’s also making a new reel on sound design for visual media, re-designing film trailers and making his own sounds there. He has launched a new series of fre tutorials on sound design for film, documenting all the process and giving some sound design tips. Stay tuned for the next videos!
